Hard- and software for reliable, easy to learn measurement of the status of the meridian-network.
Based upon extensive research for space-travel. Extensive help-function to support evaluation, to find acupuncture-points, to communicate with the patient. The hardware is sturdy and its operation is guaranteed for 5 years. The hardware is the basis for all the other modules. The measurements give instant insight into the capacity of the patients’ body to maintain homeostasis and where problems are beginning or where severe difficulties occur. We also name this module the ‘health-manager’. It is in many ways similar to the task-manager of windows: insight in the meridian-network enables one to direct efforts and resources exactly to the right spot, i.e. the weak functions. 
The meridian resistance is measured at the meridian acupuncture end points on hands and feet. The values are automatically tested for their reliability and then transferred to the computer system where it is processed by a sophisticated program. The assessment performed by the program is based on millions of reference measurements. The final read-out is a multi-graphic representation that compares the individual energy values to standard norms.
These measurements represent the energy level and balance of a person and can be used for physical and psychological evaluation of his/her health, as well as preventive measure.
Almost 5.000 years ago, the Chinese discovered that every disease could be traced back to a disturbance in bio-energetic cycles and patterns, and could be treated accordingly. This means that we are supposed to be healthy when our body is in energetic harmony. In such a situation, our cells and immune system possess the optimal capacity to resist any hostile influence or disease. Every disease starts with a disturbance of the energy of the meridians and/or organs. This can lead, if not compensated adequately, to a disease or chronic condition. i-HEALTH provides a system to measure the bio-energy and balance the meridian system.
Research for space travel is the origin of the EDA- or Health Manager.
The I-HEALTH EDA module or health manager is based upon extensive medical research that was part of the space research effort. During an approximate 15 year period, the Russian space and aircraft authority developed and used an acupuncture based analysis system. This system demonstrated it could immediately recognize physical and psychological disturbances of the cosmonauts and air traffic controllers who were assessed and treated with it. The most impressive test-run of the energy analysis system was the 438 day non-stop world record space flight on the MIR of Dr. Valery Poljakov, MD. His vital functions where continuously monitored and corrected according to this analysis method. Directly after having returned on Earth from his prolonged stay in space he left his capsule in an unusually healthy condition. It is reported that all his physiological tests revealed good functionality with far less than the usual degenerative problems (National Geographic Jan. 2001).
Reliability of the energy diagnosis and assessment:
One of the most extensive studies on the reliability of electro-puncture diagnostics has been published by the Russian Academy for medical and technical sciences, Moscow (Sagrjadski et.al.1994).
Itronic EDA is a further development of the devices and software that have been used by the Russians for their extensive studies for example as part of the Buran space-flight program. In the same way that the Russians further developed the electro-puncture diagnostics existing at that time, for example the devices developed by Niboyet, Voll, Nakatani, Podschibjanin and Wogralik, i-HEALTH has taken and will take the developments even further.
The Russian studies on the reliability of electro-puncture diagnostics (EPD) prove that the reliability is comparable to the quality of the differential diagnostics which is based upon the complex clinical, laboratory and electro-physiological methods.
Within the total number of 22.297 of patients that have been diagnosed and treated in the Russian studies, the average quality of the EPD varied between 0.88 and 0.98. (Electro-acu Puncture Diagnosis)
It was established that EPD enables the physician to check quickly and reliably the quality of the therapeutic-prophylactic interventions.
